Jo Ann White

Since 2001 Jo Ann White has been co-founder and partner of Home Care Solutions. She
holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Arkansas Medical Science Campus,
College of Nursing in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a Louisiana Licensed Registered Nurse, and holds a
Nurse Practitioner Certification in the State of Arkansas.
Jo Ann’s career in nursing began in 1981 as an Emergency room nurse at Arkansas Children’s
Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas. After relocating from Arkansas to Louisiana in 1984 she began her
career in the specialized field of Psychiatric Nursing. She has also gained experience in geriatrics,
discharge planning and care management. In 1997 Jo Ann was founder and owner of Quality Care Inc., the
first in-home sitter/companion service specializing in Alzheimer Care in the New Orleans area. Jo Ann
has been instrumental in developing and implementing Alzheimer Caregiver Training for the past seven
years.
She closed Quality Care, Inc., became affiliated with two masters-prepared geriatric care managers,
Dianne Boazman and Betty Landreaux. Jo Ann is now co-owner and director of Home Care Solutions, LLC,
which offers sitter/companion services for the elderly, with expertise in Alzheimer Care. This service
offers a level of caregiver training and supervision unique to the New Orleans area.
Jo Ann is also known for her volunteer and educational work in the community. She contributes
articles to local publications on educational topics related to Alzheimer and Dementia Care. She also
serves on the Advisory Committee of the Local Alzheimer Association.
